If Week 25 had a theme, it might just be “shiny things and strange decisions”. We’ve been elbows-deep in chrome powder, resin cogs, and… worm ears. Yep. It’s been an eclectic week here at Kirnix HQ.
From gleaming trays and Zen turtles to a sparkly steampunk frog and one truly unhinged skull sculpture, we’ve poured, sculpted, glittered, and giggled our way through four very different resin art projects. Here’s what went down…
💿 Video 108 – Shiny Chrome Resin Tray DIY Art with Crystal Accents!
We channelled our inner magpie and went full sparkle mode with a chrome resin tray featuring crystal accents and bio-based resin. Kirk won some goodies, Nikki got glitter-happy, and somehow turtles still made it into the mix.
🐢 Video 113 – Shell Yeah! Resin Art With New @LetsResin Zen Turtles
We got our hands on the brand-new Zen Turtle mould from Let’s Resin and… we didn’t stop at just one. Expect pigment pastes, detailed painting, and a slow descent into turtle hoarding. Totally worth it.
⚙️ Video 114 – Steampunk Frog Made from Resin – Cogs, Chaos & Cute Results
What happens when you combine a frog mould, UV resin, and tiny clock parts? A steampunk frog with rose gold boots and a lot of character. This project had us placing minuscule cogs with tweezers and laughing far more than is reasonable.
💀 Video 115 – Resin Art Fail! We Tried to Make an Earworm Skull & It Went Abstract!
Meet Eric: the earworm skull we didn’t know we needed. Made from Aqua Cast, Cos Clay, and unfiltered chaos, this abstract art piece includes lizard earworms, a punk aesthetic, and something called facial fat pads. We’re still not sure what happened, but it was… an experience.
Closing Thoughts
This week was chaotic, sparkly, and filled with frogs (again). Whether you’re here for the inspiration, the shiny bits, or the questionable skulls, we’re so glad you’re along for the ride.
If any of these weird and wonderful creations spark your own ideas, tag us on socials—we’d love to see your versions! And as always, check out our YouTube channel for more chaos and our shop if you fancy something handmade (and probably slightly glittery).
